Institutional Effectiveness

The mission of Institutional Effectiveness is to support Douglas College community through business intelligence and data analytics, comprehensive program review support, institution-wide surveys, labour market reporting, student course feedback, and strategic planning operations. We aim to deliver accurate, timely and actionable information informing institutional planning and evidence-based decision making by:

  • Creating and deploying data visualization and business intelligence tools allowing us to examine data from our student data set (Banner) and other data sources,
  • Supporting comprehensive program reviews by providing guidance, coordination and survey deployment,
  • Designing, deploying, analyzing, and reporting of institution-wide surveys,
  • Providing analytical support and guidance on labour market demand to inform new program development,
  • Overseeing term-based student course feedback surveys and reporting,
  • Undertaking of relevant, complex projects of strategic benefit to the College within the scope of expertise of the office.
