This page outlines special assessment requests that Douglas College offers.  Please note that we do not offer evening and weekend testing for special requests.

Accommodated Exams

Special arrangements can be made through Accessibility Services for assessment accommodations such as extended time, use of a computer for the test, an individualized quiet setting, sign language interpreting services, and more. If you require these services, please contact Accessibility Services at asexams@douglascollege.ca .
 

Online Assessments for remote Douglas College students

If you live outside the Vancouver Lower Mainland or outside Canada, you may be eligible to take one of our assessments online by appointment. You'll need a desktop or laptop with a webcam, screen sharing, remote access, and a stable internet connection. Since availability varies, please contact us at least one to two weeks in advance by emailing assessment@douglascollege.ca. See below for our schedule.  If a date is not listed, invigilation is not available on that day.
 

Exams for Douglas College Continuing Education students

Douglas College offers exam invigilation for students enrolled in Continuing Education courses. Available dates are listed on the current assessment schedule, or see external testing dates if you're not a Douglas College student.

The invigilation fee is $75.00, payable by Visa or Mastercard only as our department does not accept debit or other card types. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid before your session. Once your appointment is confirmed, Assessment Services will contact you to arrange payment over the phone.

To book your session, email assessment@douglascollege.ca at least one week before your exam. Continuing Education students are responsible for submitting all required paperwork and paying the exam fee.

Exam invigilation for non-Douglas College students

Students are responsible for submitting all required paperwork and paying the non-refundable invigilation fee of $75.00. This fee must be paid in advance using a Visa or Mastercard—debit cards and other credit cards are not accepted. Once your appointment request is submitted, Assessment Services will contact you to arrange payment over the phone. Your session is not confirmed until payment is received. Please note that the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

To book your session, email assessment@douglascollege.ca and include your desired test date from the list below.  If a date is not listed, invigilation is not available on that day.  You must contact us at least one week before the deadline set by your sponsoring institution . For example, if their deadline is three weeks before your exam, you must contact us four weeks in advance to ensure everything is arranged on time.

Please note that we cannot accommodate tests longer than three hours or those requiring special accommodations (such as extended time or audio).
