The Skills for Success Practitioner (SFSP) Certificate is a unique six-course program offered online, face-to-face, or through a hybrid format.
This program is eligible for StrongerBC future skills grant.
This funding is provided by the Province of British Columbia.

Who is it for?
Educators, Career Practitioners & Employment Counsellors, ESL Instructors, Human Resource Professionals, and Employers.

What will I learn?
The SFSP program is designed to assist participants in integrating Canada’s Skills Framework into their work with learners by understanding:
- What the Skills for Success are;
- The framework proficiency levels and underlying methodology;
- How to assess learners’ Skills for Success levels (assessment and portfolio);
- How to develop individual learning plans that build on existing Skill levels;
- How to develop skill-building activities
- Skills for Success tools and resources.

- Assessments, Interpretation & Application

How do I register?
Step 1: Ensure suitability
Please, complete the Skills for Success Practitioner Program Application Form and email it to essentialskills@douglascollege.ca
Upon review, we'll advise you on the next steps.
Step 2: Select your courses
Consult the Course Outlines & Dates information.
Step 3: Contact the Continuing Education registration office.
To register, you need:
- Course name and dates
- Course Reference Number (CRN)
