The student will be able to:

- Describe the use of radiation in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
- Describe the process of tumor formation and classification.
- Describe the role of psychiatry in modern medical practice.
- Use the vocabulary, root words, suffixes, prefixes, abbreviations and pronunciation of words pertaining to radiology, oncology, and psychiatry.
- Explain the divisions of pharmacology, drug administration routes, drug action terms and drug effects in the body.
- Recognize drug names: chemical, generic, brand, prescription, non-prescription and controlled.
