The Gallery Mandate

The mandate of the Amelia Douglas Gallery Advisory is to feature new and established BC artists and to enhance the educational offerings of the College.

Exhibit selections are made by the Advisory Committee, which meets annually to review proposals and collaborate on exhibit plans.  If you are interested in an exhibition possibility at the Amelia Douglas Art Gallery, please look for our call for submissions early in 2025. 

Call For Submissions By Indigenous Artists and Makers

The Amelia Douglas Gallery at Douglas College is calling for submissions by Indigenous artists and makers for a group exhibit planned for September–October 2024. All artistic media are welcome!  Paintings, carvings, beadwork, photography, mixed media, textiles, print, sculpture (no video installations, sorry!) 

This presentation is planned to coincide with the annual New West Culture Crawl. No Gallery Commission—100% of sales go directly to artists. 

To be considered for the show, please submit photos of up to three works for consideration. Tell us a little about yourself and your work. Just a few sentences will do. 

Please send your submissions directly by email to artsevents@douglascollege.ca no later than July 1st, 2024. Decisions will be made by the middle of July. While we appreciate all submissions, only successful candidates will be contacted.
