Who is this program for?

Leadership is not about titles or the corner office; It’s about the willingness to step up, lean into courage, and create safer, braver, more inclusive spaces that enable others to do the same. Based on her research, Brené defines a leader as: anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes and has the courage to develop that potential.

This program is designed for anyone looking to enhance their leadership skills, whether you're a seasoned leader, a rising star, or just starting out in your career. Whether you're leading a team, a business, a community, or just your own life, the Dare to Lead program will provide you with the tools and strategies you need to achieve your full potential.

Daring leaders are self-aware, know how to have hard conversations, hold themselves and others accountable, build trust, lead with empathy and connection, take smart risks that lead to innovation, reset quickly after disappointments and setbacks, and give and receive feedback – especially when it’s tough. The Dare to Lead™ program will give you the skills, tools, and awareness you need to be a truly Daring Leader.

About the Dare to Lead™ program

Based on the extensive research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program (what Brené refers to as a “skill-based playbook for leaders.”) The most significant finding from her research on courage, is that courage is not an inherent quality, but rather it is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.

In this 24-hour experiential program, a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator will guide you through facilitated activities, reflections, and short videos hosted by Brené, on the four skill sets of courage:

  1. Rumbling with Vulnerability: Facing risk, uncertainty, and emotional exposure with courage and clarity.
  2. Living into our Values: Identifying, operationalizing, and practicing the beliefs that we hold most important.
  3. Braving Trust: Creating or deepening connections in relationships and teams based on the seven elements of trust.
  4. Learning to Rise: Learning and growing from the failures, setbacks, and disappointments that are inevitable when we are brave with our lives.

You will emerge from the program with new awareness, skills, and a toolkit to lead yourself, your team, and your organization through inevitable change and turbulence, and toward the future and results you can be proud of.

You will also receive a Dare to Lead™ Trained Certificate and a Dare to Lead™ Trained designation on your LinkedIn profile.
