Supply Chain Procurement Certificate (SCP)
The Supply Chain Procurement Certificate program is a foundational education program designed to help both entry-level and experienced supply chain professionals expand their procurement knowledge and skills. The program provides an overview of procurement fundamentals, sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, negotiations, evaluation metrics, and more. You’ll be better equipped to:
- Develop a strategic sourcing strategy
- Establish effective procurement policies
- Effectively score supplier capabilities and select optimal suppliers
- Engage in more effective contract management negotiations
- Trace the purchase order flow from requirements identification to purchase order close-out
- Review supplier and internal procurement organization performance using data and metrics
- Engage in sustainable and ethical sourcing
The program includes 20 hours of education and a comprehensive final exam within an interactive online platform. You will also have access to flashcards, video clips, practice questions and more to help cultivate a stronger understanding of each topic.
After passing the exam, you will earn your certificate and a digital badge that you can display on your LinkedIn profile and within your email signature.

Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
CPIM is internationally recognized. Terminology, core concepts and strategies provided by this certification has become common knowledge amongst industry professionals involved in production and inventory management.
This course is offered in-person. Class sizes will be reduced to allow for social distancing protocols. The College is monitoring information and recommendations about COVID-19 from regional and provincial medical health officers and responding accordingly. Should in-person classes need to be discontinued, the delivery mode will change to virtual sessions that will take place during the original scheduled class times. To participate in virtual sessions, students will need high speed internet, video cam and microphone.

Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
CSCP focuses on providing a detailed understanding of the entire supply chain. With this knowledge, you will be able to effectively plan how to boost productivity, encourage better collaboration and improve your organization’s bottom line. CSCP helps you become a better problem solver, you will be able to positively influence the supply chain.

Certified in logistics, transportation and distribution (CLTD)
The new CLTD program sets the standard for logistics certification. As a CLTD designee, you will stand out from your peers, and demonstrate a commitment to advancing both your career and your company’s operations. Created by APICS with a team of subject matter experts, the CLTD designation covers a comprehensive body of knowledge that sets the global standard for best practices in logistics, transportation and distribution. This 42 hour program will appeal to those leading 3PL or in a logistics leadership function.

Certifications
APICS courses are taught by experienced industry professionals who have completed additional coursework to become certified to teach APICS courses and are dedicated to helping students understand the material from a theoretical and practical point of view.
How to get a certification
To obtain your professional certification you must pass a certification exam(s). For CPIM there are 2 exams and for CSCP and CLTD there is 1 exam to complete for each. Certification examinations are conducted at external testing centres throughout GVRD.
