Spring Break Child and Youth Camps!

Looking for a fun, active, and enriching way to keep your child engaged over Spring Break? Douglas College offers a wide variety of week-long camps designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and keep kids moving — all in a safe and supportive environment right here in Coquitlam and New Westminster.

Choose from numerous exciting half-day (3 hour) or full-day (7 hour) camps, where your child can dive into their passions! Whether they’re into sports, tech, leadership or the arts there is something for everyone.  

Ages 6–9: Our younger campers explore new skills through play-based learning, teamwork, and creative expression — all while making new friends and having a blast.

Ages 10–14: Through hands-on, interactive experiences, the older kids take on more advanced challenges, develop leadership skills, and deepen their knowledge and abilities in areas they love.

Spring Break Camp Descriptions


Lights, camera, action! Are your kids passionate about acting and wanting to take the next step and explore performance in front of a camera? This on-camera program covers auditioning techniques, character development, the moment before and after, hitting your mark, the importance of your eyeline, cold reading, script analysis, scene study and more.

Let your child’s imagination soar! This creative combo program blends visual arts and storytelling. Kids will explore drawing, painting, crafting, and writing their own stories, all while building confidence and creative expression. Please note: Paint is regularly used in this program and can get on clothing so please dress appropriately.

Calling all future basketball stars! Our Junior Basketball Camp is the perfect place to learn the basics of the game and includes a focus on dribbling, shooting, passing and defence. Have a blast, meet new friends, and have fun while learning to play like a champ!

Dribble, shoot, and score your way to success! This high-energy basketball program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy. Participants will work on dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and game play through structured drills, scrimmages, and team challenges. Perfect for both beginners and experienced players looking to sharpen their skills. Please note: Athletic footwear with non-marking soles is required.

Explore the world of tech through hands-on projects in coding, digital art, and design. Participants will create animations, simple games, and digital graphics while learning the basics of programming and creative software. Please note: Participants must know how to use a mouse and keyboard to take part in the program.

Tech time for young minds! This beginner-friendly program introduces kids to computers through creative games, digital art, and interactive learning activities. Kids will learn basic computer skills, play cool games, and maybe even teach you a thing or two about technology! Please note: Participants must know how to use a mouse and keyboard to take part in the program.

Is your child bursting with imagination? Our half-day Creative Writing course is the perfect place for young storytellers to bring their ideas to life! Through fun prompts, interactive activities, and guided writing exercises, kids will:

  • discover their unique writing voice
  • build confidence in self-expression
  • learn the art of storytelling in a supportive environment

Whether they dream of writing novels, comics, or just love to tell stories, this is a fun and inspiring way to explore creativity—one page at a time.

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to keep your child engaged over the break? Our half-day Drama & Improv Camp is the perfect outlet to build confidence, spark creativity, and boost communication skills—all while having a blast!

Through theatre games, improv exercises, and group performances, young actors will have the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone, learn to think on their feet, and make new friends while expressing themselves in exciting new ways.

Whether they’re natural performers or just curious to try something new, this camp is a fantastic way to shine on stage and off.

Kick off an unforgettable spring break at our outdoor soccer Camp! Rain or shine, you’ll be out on the turf field perfecting your dribbling, passing, shooting skills, scoring goals, and one-on-one moves, all while making new friends. Get ready for 5 days of non-stop soccer fun. We will be outside on a turf field each afternoon so dress for the weather and bring a change of clothes just in case.

Looking for a Spring Break camp that keeps your child moving and thinking? This action-packed program is the perfect mix of high-energy sports and playful computer time for kids aged 6–9.

Campers will spend part of the day running, jumping, and playing games, and the other part exploring beginner-friendly computer activities like coding, puzzles, and interactive games—all designed to spark curiosity and build new skills.

It’s a great way for kids to stay active, make new friends, and have tons of fun.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to play, learn, and have fun! It’s a fantastic way for kids to stay active, make new friends, and discover a new sport in a supportive, playful environment.

Get ready to code, create, and have fun! In this hands-on Spring Break camp, kids will dive into the world of web development using JavaScript to build games, animations, and interactive projects. Along the way, they’ll learn coding fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and how to bring their ideas to life through creative tech challenges.

It’s a fun and inspiring way to explore programming in a supportive, tech-filled environment—perfect for curious minds ready to build something amazing!

Get moving and express yourself this Spring Break! This high-energy camp invites young dancers to explore rhythm, movement, and creativity through fun and dynamic routines. Whether your child is new to dance or already loves to move, they’ll build confidence, learn new skills, and connect with others in a supportive, upbeat environment.

From choreography to freestyle fun, it’s all about movement, the music, and self-expression.

From kid-approved favorites like mac & cheese, chicken quesadillas, pizza, spaghetti, and chicken fingers, we’ve got meals they’ll love — and the convenience and time savings you need. We’ll handle lunch — so you can focus on everything else on your to-do list.

Simply check the box on the camp registration form to sign up. Remember to select the correct campus location.

  2. Code of Conduct Form
    Please use the link above and review this form with your child so they understand the behavioural expectations for our camps and programs. Once you have reviewed it, download the PDF, both you and your child initial it, then email the completed form to youthcamps@douglascollege.ca.
