Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants - Education & Social Services is for newcomers living in any British Columbia community with training and skills as a Social Service Worker, Community Service Worker, University Professor, College or Vocational Instructor, Early Childhood Educator or ECE Teaching Assistant. Working one-to-one with knowledgeable career coaches, you will gain valuable resources needed to assist in launching your career in Canada.
The program is FREE for internationally-trained professionals who:
- Are committed to pursuing work in the same field as their pre-landing experience.
- Have 1 year of international work experience as a Social Service Worker, Community Service Worker, University Professor, College or Vocational Instructor, Early Childhood Educator or ECE Teaching Assistant.
Note: Newcomers with a background in other occupations should proceed to Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants – Tri-Cities
To apply you must:
- Meet the following English language requirements:
- Social Service Worker, Community Service Worker, University Professor, College or Vocational Instructor: Minimum CLB 6+ or equivalent.
- Early Childhood Educator or ECE Teaching Assistant: Minimum CLB 5+ or equivalent.
- Be a Permanent Resident (10 years or less) currently living in British Columbia.
- Be motivated to conduct an active job search for employment in the education or social services related area.
- Be unemployed or not working in your pre-landing profession.
