How Douglas College’s Self-Employment Program helps Lee-Anne Ragan influence changemakers
After juggling parenthood and an unsupportive workplace, Lee-Anne Ragan sought a new career path, leading her to take an interest in self-employment. Douglas College’s Self-Employment program provided the foundation to develop and grow her business, Rock.Paper.Scissors, which has been thriving for over 20 years.
Through her time at Douglas College, Lee-Anne gained the confidence, knowledge and skills to start her own business. She moved to Nairobi, Kenya, where she continues to consult with the United Nations Headquarters. She's worked with more than 50,000 participants globally. While in Kenya, Lee-Anne founded her monthly Learning and Development Roundtable. Through her business, she gives free monthly workshops to changemakers worldwide, teaching them how to better learn, laugh and lead.
As a lifelong learner, Lee-Anne is committed to improving how the world works and learns. She supports her clients in how to work together better and to thrive in their careers and personal lives, while always being open to opportunities to learn, connect and grow.
