Final Technology Project
Overview
At the start of the Project the student will produce a two- to three-page project proposal. This must be signed by the instructor most closely associated with the project and the Project Supervisor. The proposal must include:
- A description of the proposed project in terms of the problems to be solved, equipment needed, technologies, languages, etc.
- A summary of the preparations already completed for the project, including consultations with the advisor and any previous recording or production work
- A plan for completion of the project, including a schedule of work
- A description of the proposed presentation for the Portfolio Show
Throughout the term the students will work with the Project Supervisor to critique each others work and refine their projects.
The Portfolio Show will be a co-presentation of the final projects of all students completing the course. The students will collectively plan, coordinate and promote this presentation, with the guidance of the Project Supervisor.
At the start of the project, the student and project supervisor(s) will define the topic to be addressed and develop a plan for its performance. This course centres on the execution of that plan, through to the production of a major work. The topic of the project must be agreed upon with the project supervisor, but may be chosen with the student's personal interests in mind. Students will give a formal presentation of their work.
