Keyboarding Skill Development
Overview
It is expected that students will have learned to “touch-type” before registering for this course. Touch typing means your fingers rest on “home row” when they are not reaching for keys in the upper or bottom rows, and that you can key without looking at the keyboard or your fingers. If you are not touch-typing, OADM 1103 is a more appropriate course for you to take.
- Correct technique
- Health and safety issues
- Speed drill exercises
- Accuracy drill exercises
Students will use computer software to enhance keyboard skills. The instructor will facilitate learning through demonstrations, motivation, and individual instruction.
