The selection of evaluation tools for this course is based on:
- Adherence to college evaluation policy regarding number and weighing of evaluations, for example a course of three credits or more should have at least three separate evaluations.
- A developmental approach to evaluation that is sequenced and progressive.
- Evaluation is used as a teaching tool for both students and instructors.
- Commitment to student participation in evaluation through such processes as self and peer evaluation, and program/ instructor evaluation.
This is a mastery/non-mastery course based on the following components of assessment:

- Preparation, Participation and Session Leadership
Upon completion of this fieldwork course, the student shall be able to:
- Distinguish between personal, professional and organizational networking skills.
- Analyze the leadership styles and processes of best practices within the field.
- Design, implement and evaluate a variety of sessions.
- Demonstrate personal leadership characteristics relating to self confidence and initiative.
- Demonstrate social leadership characteristics relating to empathy, developing others and becoming a leader.
