Academic and Professional Profile
Over the past 30 years I have seen my education and professional career take me back and forth between research/teaching and clinical/applied activities. My research background is in psychopharmacology with specific interest in psychomotor stimulants (drugs of abuse and antidepressants), anabolic steroids and drug policy. On the applied clinical side I spent approximately 15 years with the Correctional Service of Canada in various rolls; providing specialized sex offender assessment, program delivery, Director of the Northstar Program (a then one of a kind program in Canada for low functioning sex offenders) and risk assessment. Currently I am serving as a consultant to a Member of Parliament regarding the upcoming federal marijuana legislation.
