•General College Admission Requirements
•Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada or an equivalent credential from an approved institution of a different country. Any applicant who earned their credential in a language other than English must meet the Douglas College English language proficiency requirement.
Graduation Requirements:

70% (42 credits) of all coursework must be completed at Douglas College

Courses used towards a previously received credential can be used to meet program requirements, but additional courses will need to be taken to replace these credits

Learning Outcomes:
Students who complete this program will:
1. Analyze and solve management problems.

resource management theories and principles at the

of human resources in achieving the operational and
strategic goals of an organization.
4. Identify pathways and obstacles to change in individuals,
teams, organizations and recognize underlying processes,
contents and outcomes in ethical decision making.
5. Develop the skills and abilities in each specialized
human resource management area and effectively apply them in
managing human resources in organizations.
6. Appraise recommendations to both familiar and new human
resource management situations.
7. Design and develop programs that will help human
resources function effectively and efficiently in
organizations using skills and abilities developed in each
human resource management specialized area.
8. Demonstrate professional writing and oral presentation
standards and practice.
9. Obtain the requisite knowledge and skills to pass the
National Knowledge Exam (NKE) towards earning a designation
as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).
