Admissions requirements

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree granted by a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada or elsewhere. If your studies were in a language other than English you will be required to meet the Douglas College language proficiency requirement.

Applicants must have a minimum grade of C in each of the following courses (or equivalent):

  1. ACCT 1235 Principles of Accounting I and II; or ACCT 1110 and ACCT 1210
  2. ACCT 2320 Introductory Management Accounting
  3. ECON 1150 Principles of Micro Economics
  4. ECON 1250 Principles of Macro Economics
  5. BUSN 1320 Introductory Business Law
  6. BUSN 2429 Business Statistics I
  7. BUSN 3431 Business Statistics II
  8. FINC 2340 Fundamentals of Financial Management
  9. CSIS 2200 Systems Analysis and Design
  10. BUSN 4275 Business Strategy and Competitive Analysis

Applicants who do not have all the required prerequisite courses should enroll in the Post-Degree Diploma in Accounting Studies program.

An overall GPA of 2.33 (C+) is required for graduation along with a minimum grade of C in each individual course.

A minimum of 70% of the required courses must be taken at Douglas College.
