Overview

Gain important business skills that will optimize the way you conduct supply chain management. You’ll learn topics such as operations management, supply chain management, supply materials management and more.  Plus, you’ll receive valuable work experience while taking highly-specialized supply chain management courses so you can graduate with relevant experience.

Get paid, full-time work experience

Put your skills to work by joining the optional Co-operative Education Program, which alternates semesters of study with paid, full-time work in your field. You’ll earn money while gaining experience, building your resume and getting an employer reference, all before you graduate.

Industry credential

Business degree graduates with the supply chain management concentration will have met the educational requirements for the American Production and Inventory Control Society – Certified in Production and Inventory Management designation (APICS – CPIM). Benefits to joining APICS – CPIM include: a higher average industry salary, over 1,000 training and educational resources, mentoring programs, networking with other supply chain professionals, exclusive job boards and more.

Admissions Requirements

There are no separate admission requirements for a concentration, but students must be enrolled in a BBA degree program in order to complete a concentration.

Program Requirements

Curriculum Framework

Concentration in Supply Chain Management:

  • This concentration is available for all BBA degree students.
  • Successful completion of at least 21 credits
  • 12 credits upper level coursework required
  • A minimum GPA of 2.0 in core concentration courses (listed below and marked with an * in the course table)
  • Concentrations are not noted on the credential but will be noted on the transcript
  • Students taking this concentration will have completed the educational requirements for the American Production and Inventory Control Society- Certified in Production and Inventory Management designation (APICS - CPIM) industry credential. For information on additional requirements for the credential, students will want to contact the Douglas College Director of Business Programs or the industry body.

On the other hand, non-BBA students will need to take special note of: (a) required pre-requisites to ensure they are able to register in the required courses and (b) suggested courses, if listed, to aid in their successful completion of the required courses.
