Course Description
This course covers how to create Web pages using HTML. In addition, it covers Web site development and design, DHTML, creation of animated text, image rollovers, menus, and expandable/collapsible outlines. Emphasis will be placed on topics such as hypertext links, designing web pages with frames, tables, forms, and cascading style sheets, Java Scripting, creating multimedia web pages, and XML. Topics in DHTML include dynamic page layout, content and styles, special effects, windows and frames, and working with event models.
Note: Students who have received credit for CISY1280 will not receive further credit by taking CSIS1280.

Learning Outcomes
The student will be able to:
1) explain the concepts of multimedia design, preparation, and delivery over the World Wide Web;
2) describe and analyze multimedia elements such as images, sound, animation, graphics, music, and digital video;
3) develop web pages using Java scripting, HTML, DHTML, and web authoring software;
4) design and construct web pages with frames, tables, and style sheets;
5) produce web content using XML;
6) differentiate between HTML, DHTML and XML.
