The selection of evaluation tools for this course is based on:
- Adherence to college evaluation policy regarding number and weighing of evaluations, for example a course of three credits or more should have at least three separate evaluations.
- A developmental approach to evaluation that is sequenced and progressive.
- Evaluation is used as a teaching tool for both students and instructors.
- Commitment to student participation in evaluation through such processes as self and peer evaluation, and program/ instructor evaluation.
This is a mastery/non-mastery course based on the following components of assessment:

- Preparation, Participation and Session Leadership
Upon completion of this fieldwork course, the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate organizational networking skills.
- Implement and monitor a personal improvement plan for personal leadership styles and group management processes.
- Design, implement and evaluate a group of sessions such as a microcycle, unit plan or series of sessions.
- Demonstrate personal leadership characteristics relating to self confidence and optimism.
- Demonstrate social leadership characteristics relating to conflict management and organizational political awareness.
