1 For these courses a "C" grade is required for graduation purposes. Moreover, for  ACAF, a minimum grade of "C" is required in each of the following courses: ACCT 1222, ACCT 2320, ACCT 3310, ACCT 3410, ACCT 3420, ACCT 3370, ACCT 3470, ACCT 4080, ACCT 4180, ACCT 4510, ACCT 4750, ACCT 4580, ACCT 4880, ACCT 4980 AND FINC 2340.

2 Students who take ACCT 1235 instead of ACCT 1110 and ACCT 1210, must take another 3-credit 1000-4000 level course offered by ACCT, FINC, BUSN, ECON, CSIS, COBA or MARK. 1000-2000 level electives must be university transferable (courses that transfer to one of the 5 Research Universities - SFU, UBC, UBC-O, UNBC or UVIC) according to the BC Transfer Guide.

3 Students that want a broader exposure to business law should take BUSN 1320 and BUSN 3720 instead of BUSN 1005. If the two-course option is taken:

i) when ACCT 1235 is taken, rather than ACCT 1110 and ACCT 1210, BUSN 3720 will satisfy the elective requirement.

ii) when ACCT 1110 and ACCT 1210 are taken, BUSN 3720 must be taken in addition to the other required courses. This means that students will take a minimum of twenty-one courses to earn their Accounting and Finance PBD.

4 Students contemplating completing ACAF certification, should refer to the CPA ACAF website to ensure they have the required electives.
