Non-Academic Medical Office Practicum Requirements:
Before starting MOAD 2600 Medical Office Practicum, students in this program must satisfy the following criteria:
- Criminal Record Check (CRC) within one year of starting the program and before practicum.
- Immunizations - A current record of immunizations must be provided. Applicants must obtain all immunizations mandated by Health Authorities or Public Health orders before they are permitted to access practicum sites.
All costs/planning related to compliance with mandated requirements in preparation for (and fulfillment of) practicum are the responsibility of the Medical Office Administration (MOA) student.
Graduation Requirements:
- Successful completion of 30.00 credits
- 50% of all coursework (15.00 credits) must be completed at Douglas College
- Minimum of:
- C+ or higher in all credit courses and
- Mastery grade in all courses designated "Mastery".
- In good academic standing.
- Up to 50% (15.00 credits) of coursework used towards a previously received credential can be used to meet graduation requirements (see the Credentials Awarded Policy).
- Time limit to complete the program graduation requirements: 4 years. Any courses completed outside of that time limit will not be usable. Students may seek the permission of the Department/Program to complete a credential outside the approved time limits.
